Päivi Järvenpää

Päivi approaches everything she does with passion and curiosity. She combines the ability to create new creative visions with the ability to execute them with high quality. She gets excited about learning new things and finds meaning in offering others experiences of learning and discovery. As a coach, her goal is to help others find their own voice as speakers and empower them to overcome their fears through strength-based thinking. One of Päivi’s superpowers is her enthusiasm—and through that, she inspires others as well!

Päivi’s educational background is a combination of language and communication sciences (MA), economics (MSc), and classical singing and pedagogy (Bachelor of Applied Sciences). During her vocal studies, she worked for years with opera legend Soile Isokoski. In the first decade of her work history, she worked full-time as a language and culture coach and in various communication roles. Later, her focus shifted to the business world, where she has worked in startups as well as large corporations across various industries, from gaming, film, and technology to finance. She has coached companies and teams in pitching and helped organizations build an innovation and experimentation culture.

Due to her background as a singer, some of Päivi’s strengths as a coach include breathing techniques and sustainable voice usage. Through her coaching, she also aims to provide various tools for managing stage fright, for example. Above all, in her role as a coach, Päivi aims for people to find their inner passion as speakers and their unique way of expressing themselves.

How did Päivi become a Rhetorich coach? “My own Rhetorich story began when I received a phone call from the charming André Noël Chaker. When I heard about the service for the first time, my initial thought was: this is exactly what the world needs! I have always lamented the low appreciation of speaking culture in Finnish society, and with Rhetorich, I saw an opportunity to make an impact in this area as well. Speech is an incredibly powerful form of communication because it directly connects us to the speaker’s essence and personality, and through that, also to emotions. It would do us all good to unleash our inner speakers because each of us has something important to say!”
